(CNN) -- Two people were killed and 11 were injured after a plane crashed Tuesday near an airport in central Myanmar, authorities said.
The Air Bagan plane, carrying 71 people, was trying to land at HeHo airport but was hampered by heavy fog, the Myanmar Ministry of Information said. It crashed breaking the tail of the plane and killing an 11-year-old child onboard. Also a motorbike rider was killed by the crash.An Air Bagan representative said the airline was investigating the incident.The plane took off from Mandalay, Myanmar's second largest city, Tuesday morning and was headed to Heho, a destination near Inle Lake, one of the nation's most popular tourist destinations.Journalist Jimmy Toe contributed to this report
